Bahrain - Full of Surprises

Manaama – Bahrain

Bahrain is too small in area but full of surprises, specially a person visiting from Saudi Arabia.

I had to organize a training session for our sales team there; otherwise it's hard to convince people about visiting Bahrain specially my family!!!!

I could not believe that a few hundred KM could change the culture, the life style all together. Bahrain is a little more open to my taste. I visited some western countries too and there you have to find some thing you need but In Bahrain every thing is available in your room. It's so sad that the place became a pleasure hut for the people around the gulf. That’s why it is called a mini bar of Gulf specially KSA. And the officials are doing nothing to improve this bad image, in fact they are promoting this so called tourism.

I had a very tough schedule there and did not found any place in Bahrain worth visiting, except the Coornish but it was also no better then Dammaam or Jeddah's coornish.

In Hotel you will receive calls from girls asking you about your current status "Faadil Wala Mashghool" and every time my answer was mashgool….In sleeping….:)

I am not a religious man, having small knowledge and even smaller practice ("Amal"), but I found it inhumane.

Disappointed from a so called muslim country….

OMG faisal!! u talk about bahrain now .. umm i think i don't like this country becasue it is (bar of khaleej). they do anything to make u pay ..
I HATE The exploitation of the religious situations in Saudi Arabia.
The Bahraini ppl pleases me for their wittiness and their simplicity but the government considers Saudi Arabia income source and the magic mixture is ( the permission for any forbidden grilling in Saudi Arabia )

I did not mean that the People of Bahrain are at fault, Its the Government that has to take steps to improve its image.

Overall i find the people much friendly.

No Offence :)

Calling Bahrain a so-called Muslim country is way out of line. If any Muslim country should be labeled a so-called Muslim country then Saudi wins hands down!!!

If I have to explain why then it's a lost cause!!!
And btw I can say anything I want about my country because simply it is MY country and I know it damn well. What I don't have a right to do is bitch about other countries in ignorance!!!

sad and true. i sometimes spend time in Bahrain. once i could not stay at the place that i usually stay by the beach, and i was in a hotel room for a few nights. decent, proper hotel. you can imagine, one evening somebody rings at my door, i look through the peep hole, it is woman, i open the door thinking it was hotel staff. now, it was the woman that was totally surprised, the last thing she expected was a woman to open the door. it was clear what she was looking for, but clearly she had the wrong door. when i realized what had just happened, then i understood that what i head so much about is actually true. at the end it is a supply and demand thing. as long as the system in ksa is the way it is, bahrain bussiness people will make the best out of it.

i am not even sure that the government can do much about it, is is for good reason that it is called the oldest profession in the world.

clearly some men do go to bahrain looking for sex, and the harrasement goes on from both sides. i am sorry that you have been disturbed by this.

The People of Bahrain are my favorite GCCers.. Unfortunately I don't agree with the way they run their tourist traps.. I've posted some on this exact topic..
